Paper sized for the work in front of you
Choose a dot grid for flexible notes, graph paper for diagrams, ruled lines for writing or a checklist for short tasks. Spacing is expressed in millimeters and can be set from 3 to 20. Unlike a screenshot stretched across a page, the generated SVG uses physical dimensions for both the sheet and its marks.
A 5 mm grid means consecutive grid lines are five millimeters apart in the generated document. It will only measure five millimeters on paper if the print workflow preserves scale. Browser fit-to-page options, office software margins and printer drivers can all shrink a correctly generated file.
Check a sample before printing a batch
Select A4 or US Letter to match your paper. Open the print dialog, choose the same size, set scaling to 100% and turn off the browser’s page headers and footers. Print one page first. For a 5 mm grid, the distance across ten spaces should be 50 mm. Measure between the line centers, not from the edge of a thick mark.
If the result is smaller, look for a setting called Fit, Shrink to printable area or Scale to fit. If the outer edge is clipped, increase the available printer margin through the driver or use a printer capable of the requested area. The template keeps its marks away from the sheet edge, but hardware differs.
Choose a useful line style
Light gray uses less visual contrast and leaves handwriting prominent. Blue can help separate the printed structure from black pen marks. Dark gray is easier to see when you plan to photocopy or scan the page. Actual ink consumption and printed color vary with the printer; this tool does not estimate cartridge cost.
An optional title leaves room at the top of the sheet. Leave the title empty for a more flexible blank page. Checklist boxes are small squares beside each line. For comfortable writing, use a larger spacing such as 7 or 8 mm rather than the smallest setting.
Download and edit
SVG retains the measured vector layout and is suitable for a compatible design application. PNG is exported at a pixel size corresponding to 300 pixels per inch. When inserting that PNG elsewhere, set its physical width and height explicitly; a document editor may otherwise choose an arbitrary display size. PDF is available through the browser’s print destination.
All generation happens locally. The tool requires no uploaded document and can be used without registration. Account projects save the selected settings if you choose to keep them. The printing guide covers the full output checklist, and Photo Print Layout creates sheets from your own pictures.
